Blooming Ridge Strategy Part 3:
Interpreting the Dreams
Finding the First Name
In order to figure out the three names of the person who stole the pie, you'll have to use the clues given to you by the Fat Man and the Pie to delve deeper into the mysteries of Blooming Ridge. Depending on the time of day, you should visit the Cliff (morning), the lighthouse (night), and the Elders' Lodge (also night). Let's start out by visiting the Elders' Lodge, which will lead to the revelation of the first name.
The Elders' Lodge
If you enter the Elders' Lodge by clicking on its front door, a man posing as the narrator will tell you that there's nothing there that will help you solve the case. Of course, that always means that there's something fishy going on. Return to the map and click on the Elders' Lodge again. This time, however, don't enter the lodge. Here is where the Pie Man's clue will come into play -- "Use rocks to put ROY in the trees." The "ROY" in this sentence stands for Red Orange Yellow (you may recall that the standard abbreviation for rainbow colors is ROYGBIV). By clicking on the three rocks in the lower right corner of the screen, you can change the colors of the trees. When the left tree is red, the middle is orange, and the right is yellow, an area in the middle of the stone path will be clickable. Click it and you will enter the hole that opens up.
Beneath the Elders' Lodge: Sacred Hall of the Elders
The Pie told you that the town's real protectors don't have thumbs. That's because they are insects. They speak Shakespearean English, which shouldn't be too hard to understand. The one major clue that they give you is that their ruler, who used to be a man but is now an insect, can be found at the Cathedral. The trick to making him appear is to enter the Cathedral at fifteen minutes past the hour, during the morning. In other words, while you're on the world map, click the cathedral at either 6:15 A.M., 7:15 A.M., 8:15 A.M., 9:15 A.M., 10:15 A.M., or 11:15 A.M.
Meeting the Silent Ruler of Blooming Ridge
Entering the cathedral at the right time will yield a meeting with
the godlike entity that rules over Blooming Ridge. His name is L. Ron
Butterfly, and he is the metamorphosed version of Ron, the catepillar
man from Cliff Hanger: Mystery in Room 1013. He speaks in a
combination of Jamaican English and Jamaican Patois, so you might want
to use a translator if you have one at your disposal. The Pie told you
that yute means youth, fadda means father, and that bad
means bad. From this you can surmise that the culprit is a young girl
who has a bad yet powerful father. More importantly, L. Ron tells you
that the girl's first name is Laura.
